I am a postdoctoral associate in the FlyStress lab at the University of Pittsburgh. I use flies and cell culture to study the Integrated Stress Response pathway. I am interested in how dynamic stress signaling pathways function under homeostasis to effect cellular and physiological processes. Specifically, three aspects of how stress signaling functions homeostatically to shape cell and organismal growth, development, and physiology: persistent stress, transient stress, and pulsed or repeated stress. When I am not at the microscope or pushing flies, I am either cooking, taking photographs with really old cameras, playing some sport - usually soccer (badly), making horrible puns, or collecting some new hobby.Â
